RoRo’s cookies with me and stamp the designs.

Ingredients

1 or more Rycraft cookie stamps

1 cup butter
1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour

Method

Cream butter and sugar. Blend in vanilla and then add flour a little at a time. Mix well; shape into small balls. Flatten with a cookie stamp. Press directly on the cookie sheet. Bake at 350º F for 10-15 minutes (until edges are golden brown). Remove from cookie sheet and dust with confectioners sugar OR before baking, touch the top of the cookie ball into granulated or colored sugar and then flatten. If you do this, omit the powdered sugar after baking.

My whole life.

My great-aunt Rosemary made these cookies, which were my mom’s favorites. My mom continued the tradition, baking the sugar cookies at Christmas time and any other time that we wanted a quick and delicious cookie. They are on the top of my cookie request list. Now my 2 year old son loves to make Auntie RoRo’s with me and stamp the designs.
