Instructions
1. Carefully cut out the 10 maple leaf designs from the #242 castings and the 2 grape leaves from the #015 casting.
2. Apply a coat of varnish to the cutouts and let dry thoroughly.
3. Glue the cutouts onto the frame, overlapping some of them as shown in the photograph.
4. Apply another coat of varnish to all the leaves and dry thoroughly.
5. Spray paint the frame and leaves, making sure to cover all the surface areas.
6. For a more mottled, antique look, mix up several colors of your acrylic paints that are light than the brown spray paint. Load your toothbrush with paint, and drag your thumb across it to release the paint in a type of spray effect – this “stipples” the paint in flecks onto the frame and leaves; you may also want to use a sponge to lightly dab the color on.7. Use a paint brush to lightly highlight the outer edges of the leaes with ptint, especially where they overlap another leaf that is darker brown underneath.
8. Finish with a final coat of varnish and let dry.
