Paper Casting Projects

Kids love to use their crayons and markers to color paper castings and

use them to create a gift for Mom she’ll treasure on Mother’s Day!

Mother's Day Card

Materials Needed

1 Rycraft cookie stamp or craft stamp #201 – Lacy Heart
100% cotton linter) (Rycraft Cotton Linter)
1 paper casting* of design #201 – Lacy Heart (see Basic Paper Casting Instructions)
Construction paper
Clear acrylic varnish
Paint, felt markers or crayons
Glue

*Note:  Alternately, the casting for this project may be made from clay instead of paper (see Basic Clay Casting Instructions).

Instructions

1. Apply a coat of varnish to the casting if you wish to paint it, so that the water in the paint won’t turn the paper design back into pulpy mush.

2.  Cut and/or fold construction paper to make a card.

3.  Apply color to the casting using paint, markers or crayons and let dry thoroughly.

4.  Glue the casting to the card.

5.  Write a message with paint, felt marker or crayons.

Easter Projects

Easter cookies and paper crafting projects made with Rycraft cookie stamps

Materials Needed

1 Rycraft cookie stamp or craft stamp in the design of your choice
100% cotton linter) (Rycraft Cotton Linter)
1 paper casting* from each cookie stamp (see Basic Paper Casting Instructions)
Clear acrylic varnish
Paint, felt markers or crayons
Glue

Instructions

1.Cut out the design from each paper casting.

4.  Glue the casting to the Easter egg or stuffed bear or tiny box of candy as a party favor, or a wood vase (as shown in photo).
